The New Balance 2002R Gore Tex Protection Pack Slate Grey Castlerock builds on the rugged identity of the Protection Pack with a weather ready upgrade that feels purpose driven from the ground up. The slate grey and castlerock palette leans into tonal layering, giving the jagged suede overlays a more understated but still textured presence. Combined with Gore Tex construction, the shoe feels equipped for unpredictable conditions while maintaining the signature deconstructed aesthetic that defines the series.
Fans of the Protection Pack gravitate toward pairs like this because they balance visual edge with real functionality. The distressed look is not just for style, it reinforces the idea of durability and wear over time. With its muted colorway and technical backing, this version fits seamlessly into daily rotation while still offering something distinct for collectors who appreciate evolution within familiar silhouettes.
The New Balance 2002R Gore Tex Protection Pack Slate Grey Castlerock was released on January 1, 2026 with a retail price of $170.
