The New Era x Takashi Murakami A-Frame Trucker Flower Flag 9Forty Hat Black is a trucker-style hat produced by American headwear brand New Era that features rainbow flower motif artwork by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
New Era is known for its premium headwear, and this cap is from the 9Forty collection. The 9Forty sports a curved visor, a low, contoured crown, and an adjustable closure. This particular colorway is a collaboration piece with pop artist Takashi Murakami. Presenting in black, a white embroidered New Era logo takes center stage on the crown. It is further surrounded by colorful smiling flowers, one of Murakami’s famous motives. Another flower is nestled on the back, atop the mesh, but this flower is winking and blowing a kiss.
The trucker-style aesthetic is what sets this hat apart from others. The plastic back mesh allows the air to flow and adds breathability. The New Era x Takashi Murakami A-Frame Trucker Flower Flag 9Forty Hat Black had a retail price of $52 when released on January 1, 2022.
