The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Multicolor Square 90 Silk revives one of fashion's most celebrated artistic collaborations, bringing Murakami's vibrant, colorful visual language back into a silk square format. Murakami's original partnership with Louis Vuitton redefined how luxury fashion engaged with contemporary art, and this multicolor silk piece channels that same playful, maximalist aesthetic that made the collaboration legendary. Silk construction gives the square a premium, luxurious feel befitting both the Louis Vuitton name and Murakami's status as a globally recognized artist.
The Louis Vuitton and Murakami partnership remains one of the most significant crossovers between luxury fashion and contemporary art in modern history, and any revival of that collaboration draws immediate attention from collectors across both worlds. Murakami's colorful, character driven style translates beautifully into silk accessory format, giving fans a wearable piece of art history rather than just a fashion accessory. For collectors who followed the original Murakami era at Louis Vuitton, a piece like this offers genuine nostalgic and artistic significance.
The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Multicolor Square 90 Silk was released on January 2, 2026 with a retail price of $530.
