The New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Black leans fully into deconstructed aesthetics, highlighting raw edges and layered textures that have defined the Protection Pack identity. The all black execution gives the shoe a stealthy and industrial feel, letting the torn suede panels and sculpted sole speak for themselves. It feels rugged and deliberate, emphasizing imperfection as a design choice rather than a flaw.
Collectors love this release because it represents a turning point in modern New Balance culture. The Protection Pack reframed how people viewed unfinished design, and this black version amplifies that philosophy through restraint and depth. Fans appreciate how it feels durable, expressive, and timeless, making it a sneaker that holds visual interest long after first wear while remaining comfortable and versatile in rotation.
The New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Black was released on November 3, 2025 with a retail price of $170.
