The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low EM Protro WNBA is a May 2026 release timed to the WNBA's 30th anniversary season opener, featuring an Orange Frost and Ice Peach gradient upper transitioning from the WNBA logo orange toward the back to a lighter peachy tone toward the front, with Brilliant Orange Swooshes and matching lace details sharpening the presentation against the Summit White midsole and outsole that keeps the warm palette balanced. The WNBA colorway continues the Nike Kobe line's deeply meaningful association with women's basketball — a connection built through Kobe Bryant's vocal advocacy for the WNBA throughout his career, his attendance at games, and his profound commitment to his daughters' athletic development, making the Kobe line's seasonal WNBA colorway one of the most emotionally resonant releases in the annual Kobe retro calendar. The Kobe 9 Elite Low EM Protro features an Engineered Mesh upper for breathability, a Nike React foam midsole replacing the original Lunarlon cushioning, a cable lacing system, and the original Kobe 9's legendary fingerprint outsole traction pattern with updated grip performance, with Bryant's signature, the Kobe Code, and the iconic heel stitches all present in tribute to the original design. Released May 8, 2026 at $190 retail through Nike and select retailers globally in adult and Grade School sizing with style code IM6119-800.
